The Birth:
I know this is 2 months late but that's okay. I was due the 10Th of September and I really thought I would come early like I did with Teagen, that was not the case. My grandma and aunt Debbie came in for a week almost and left the 6Th I tried everything to induce me naturally but He would not give. I woke up Sunday the 11Th and we got ready for church and I started having contractions at 10:15 I tracked them all through Sunday school but they were feeling like they had all week so I didn't think much about it. Then about 11:15 they started to come really hard so I got Rob out of priesthood and Teagen out and went home we called the Midwife on our way, I went to lie down but they just kept coming. Chris the midwife got there with her intern and checked me and I was at a 7. So I got in the tub and that was a little better but I had a lot of pressure because my water had not broken yet. I pushed a little to help that and it broke then I pushed and Draycen was out in 15 minutes.
He has been a really good baby it has been a little hard adjusting to two but I am getting the hang of it now. Teagen is really good with him he is soft and doesn't really bug him. He loves to hold him and helps me get things for Draycen.

The past couple months

So we got rid of our internet so it has been hard to keep up with things. It is really hard going without it. Easter was fun with Teagen this year he went around the house looking for eggs and his basket. Then we got ready and went to brunch with my mom and Bryan at the Little America Hotel. Then we went to dinner at dads house, it was a really fun day.

We were able to go to California a couple weeks ago thanks to Rob's parents. They flew us down on Wednesday early then checked in to our hotel, then went over to Disneyland for the day. We did both parks so that day was super busy I was so tired that night. The park closed at 8 then we went over to Joes Crab Shack for dinner. Rob got this big crab plate that I couldn't eat. When we got to the hotel we just crashed.

The next day we just took it easy and went to the beach. Teagen just wanted to chase the birds. He went in the water a little with Rob's mom but it was too cold for me. Then we went back to the hotel packed and had a couple hours to kill so we walked over to the Downtown Disney. Rob and Teagen liked the Lego store then we got our stuff and went to the airport to go home (sniffle).

Teagen fell asleep on the way to the airport and pretty much the whole way home. He woke up once on the flight and Rob took him and he fell right back asleep. It was such a well needed trip, even thought it was only 2 days we really needed a break from life.
My sister is prego too but she is due in 3 weeks now and I did some maternity photos for her shower. I put them all in a book and had people sign. It turned out really cute. Her shower turned out really cute too, a lot of people showed up too. It was a pretty good day.

Baby #2 here we come!!

So it has been a long time since my last blog. I have been feeling really sick and not wanting to do anything for the last few months. But I am now 17 weeks and feeling really good, I can get things done during the day now. My laundry doesn't sit for a week in the dryer and the dishes don't sit in the sink forever. I am even working on my scrapbook now and cleaning out Teagen's new room. We are getting excited now and we found out its a BOY!!! Yay, that will help us save a lot of money. Now we only need to get a couple things. We are calling this one baby Ike for now. I will post some pictures soon.

Arizona

Teagen and I went to arizona by plane last weekend. It was so nice to see the fam but it was hard being away from Rob. My mom, Bryan and Braedy drove down too. Bryan runs the PF Changs marathon every year. I didn't get to run it this year sad I know but I will next year, the half that is. We went out to eat, saw more family and of course went shopping. I found a couple good deals for Teagen and myself.

We also went to Bahama Bucks it is this snow cone shop that has the best shaved ice EVER!

Christmas

Christmas day was really fun and laid back this year. We got a lot of presents, we also had a lot of family parties that kept us busy the whole month.

Thanksgiving

I know this is a little late I have just been busy cleaning my house and getting ready for Christmas. Yay! Thanksgiving was crazy (but who doesn't love the craziness?) We went to Rob's family for breakfast at Mimi's cafe then we went over to Rob's parents to chill for a bit then it was over to the Groscost dinner at Mike and Cheryl's house. That was really nice we don't get to see that family very much anymore, sad I know. Then we went over to Leisa's family dinner more to just visit then eat. The guys ate more of course. Then everyone was going to see Tangled but we didn't buy the tickets in time before they were all sold out so we just went home. It was better that way because Rob really didn't want to go to the movie and we had to get up at 2 the next morning. Teagen stayed over at grandma Janet's that night, my first full night away from him. I did better than I though I would. When we got home we went through all our adds again and made lists of where we would go and what time. Then off to bed for a couple hours.

Friday morning we got up at 2:15 got dressed and headed out with our adds. We stopped off at 711 for some warm hot chocolate. This year was really cold but we didn't need to go out and stay in lines for very long. We went to Kohl's first at 3 AM then went to almost every store there is. We shopped for 12 hours but got some good deals. This year wasn't that good we didn't get any big items but a lot of little ones. We are almost done with our shopping for Christmas, yay. I love going shopping that day just for all the craziness its fun and Rob likes to do it with me so we get to spend the day together. Saturday Rob had a paintball game that morning then we did some more shopping then went home and crashed. Sunday we just took it easy and got ready for our tree. Mom got us a cool tree this year, it has 3 branches from the stump. We had to cut it down a bit but I love it. Thanks mom. So mow I get to wrap presents and go to all the parties we have planned and then there is bunco next week I am super excited for Rissa is doing it and we are having a dinner and a gift exchange, Wahoo that is just icing on the cake. I will let you know how it goes.

Halloween Fun part 2

This year was kind of lame with the rain and Halloween being on Sunday but we still had fun. We had our ward Trunk or Treat on Thursday that was fun but it got dark fast and most the cars ran out of candy, it was our wards first time so maybe next year will be better. Teagen was nice and warm in his gorilla costume.

Saturday we went to the Mayan for lunch with my mom's family for Braedy's birthday. Braedy's costume was Link from Zelda, my grandma made it and it was awesome.

After we went over to the mall for some early Trick or Treating then we just went home and relaxed for a while. We didn't take Teagen out because it was cold and he was so tired he went to bed early. I got to go out with some of my friends to a club for some dancing, it was fun and the costumes were fun to see.

Halloween Fun

Friday night I went to Witches Night Out at Gardener Village with my mom, Rissa and some of Rissa's in laws. It was so much fun, I had never been before. There were so many people there dressed up in a bunch of different witch costumes. Some ladies go all out for this thing. We walked around the shops, waited in horribly long lines for fudge, and bought some cute things. Rob likes the soda I bought him and there were big chocolate smarties. It was nice to have a girls night out.

Saturday was my Moms birthday so we bought pumpkins and went to Rissa's house to eat pizza and carve pumpkins. Teagen had a fun time getting it all over him and eating parts of pumpkin. He was a good helper. Mom opened presents and we had brownies for desert.

Moab

I ran the other half in Moab last weekend. We left Friday morning and stopped at Rissa's work for a minute to visit and give her some things, then we were on our way. It only took a couple hours to get there and Teagen slept most of the time after he had a clean diaper. We checked in to our little shack. It was really a shed with barn doors with a lock like on a gate then had sliding doors after that. Inside had a couch, two beds, a table and a mini fridge. I didn't get a pictures but it was a fun to see mom's reaction. That night we went out to dinner at Zax for pizza, they had really good pizza but they were really busy. We took the rest of night and relaxed. Saturday we got up and went hiking to the arches. We did Delicate Arch (the one that is on the license plates) It was a good hike I had Teagen on my back but it was a good workout for me. Rob took him on the way down. Then we went to eat pasta and then took naps and rested for a bit.

Squirrel!!!

We went to get out gear bags and shopping, we got a Camelbak for me and Keen shoes for Teagen for unbelievably good deals. Then we went to the Moab Brewery for dinner. We had to wait an hour and a half and the expo was just across the street so we went over there to see if there were any last minute good deals, there really weren't any but Rob bought me a really cute Black Diamond beanie and Bryan got mom a shirt for her birthday. We walked back and went to the store next door then waited for another 45 minutes out front. Teagen just wanted to go up and back down the curb with Rob. He would step up then right back down it was pretty funny. When we were eating Teagen decided to try and eat with a fork he did really well for his first time.

Sunday Rob dropped off me and Bryan to catch our bus at 6:20. When we got up to the start we had to wait for and hour and a half but it wasn't as cold as 2 years ago when I ran it for the first time. I ran really good, better then I have ever. My time was 2:28. That is my best time so far on a half I know its not that fast but I am getting better. We watched the awards then ate lunch and headed home. My knees hurt a lot from the hills but were fine Monday. I just want to thank Rob for helping so much this weekend, love you honey.

Arizona & Utah history museum

I got to go to Arizona with Teagen and Rissa to spend time with Grandma, Jaime and Debbie. The airport was not that fun, our plane was delayed for 3 hours which we found out after we got to the airport. Teagen didn't do that bad though. He was awake the whole ride then feel asleep right as we landed. Then our car seat didn't make it on our flight so we had to come back to the airport a couple hours later. We just hung out at grandmas, went shopping, swimming, went on walks, watched movies and out to eat. It was a nice weekend to spend with them. It was over 100 every day, that weekend was record breaking (of course when we go there). The ride home was a lot better, we brought his car seat on the plane with us and he played for a bit but fell asleep pretty fast and slept the whole ride. It was so nice I could eat my lunch and we watched a movie. I wish we could go there more often.

Last weekend Friday we went up millcreek canyon for Bryan's birthday. We roasted hot dogs and smores over the fire. It was a little cold but really fun and makes me excited for fall. The leaves were started to change it was really pretty up there.

Saturday we went to the Utah natural history museum at the U of U. It was a free day and Rob had never been before so we went with Mom and Braedy. Then we just spent the rest of the weekend resting at home I was sick so my sweet husband just took care of me and Teagen, He is so good to us.

Teagen's 1st birthday!!!

Two weekends ago we celebrated Teagen turning one. The week before that we celebrated Rob turning 27. The last two weeks have been busy but really fun. I had friends and family come over to the pool house to eat dinner and cake and go swimming. It was really fun to go swimming with my family and at night it is so fun at night. We had a good time and Rob was able to visit with some old friends.

Saturday I took engagements at the white barn in park city, they turned out really cute they were a fun couple.

Then I had Teagen up there with me so we took his one years. I still have another place that I want some so they were just half of them. I just can't believe how old he looks, he is now a little boy its so fun.

Last weekend was really busy. Friday we went to the store and got all the things for his party for Saturday. We had his party Saturday night with family. We ate Cafe Rio style burritos, ants on a log, cup cakes, and apples and dip. We ate first then did his cake then presents. His cake was really big but he loved it, I think I let him eat more than he should have. He got so many presents he didn't know what to do with them all. He has had fun playing with them this week, and I had fun with him not in my stuff. It was a long day but well worth it.

We missed the fair last year cuz I went into labor the day we were going to go, boo. But we went this year. Teagen got to see all the animals....

We got corn on the cob and a funnel cake, you always have to get those if you go to the fair. Then on our way out we got a carmel apple, really good this year. I just love spending time with my little family.

Bear Lake

Two weekends ago we went to Bear Lake. We were waiting for this trip all summer. This trip was so nice to just relax and soak in the sun. Rob needed this well we both did really bad. We drove up through Logan and on our way we stopped at the Pepperidge Farm outlet and got a lot of cookies for dirt cheep. We got Teagen baby fish he really likes those. We also stopped at the cheese factory and got some squeaky cheese, yum. Then went to walmart got some food and headed up Logan canyon. When we got to Rob's parent's camping site we put our stuff in our tent and set up Teagens pack and play, he didn't do that good the first night but he did a lot better the next two nights. We laid around the beach most of the day, went into town for lunch, rented a kayak, and made smores every night. We stayed at Rob's parents camping spot. It is nice that they have a trailer. It was a fun weekend with the family. We are excited for next year when Teagen will get excited and run around the beach. Good times.

Sharp Reunion

We had a reunion with my dads side of the family. We haven't seen that side for a while. We had it in Ophir if you don't know where that is it is about an hour outside of Tooele. It was this little miners town that only has 4 permanent residents now. It was fun to see the whole family again.

This last couple weeks have been a little crazy. I was able to do a wedding a couple weeks ago, we weren't able to do her bridals because the dress wasn't ready till the night before the wedding but we will be doing them in the next week or two.

The walk I put on for Critter went great. So many people showed up and did the walk and brought really good stuff for the raffle. A lot of money was raised and we had a lot of fun. I was really happy that my grandma and my aunt Debbie were able to come see it as well. They were not here on a happy note. My grandmas sister had passed away that week and the funeral was Saturday afternoon. Im really sorry it had to happen but I was really glad to be able to see them again so soon.

The 4Th weekend was so nice. Thursday Rob took off so we had a lazy morning then dropped off Teagen at my mom's house and went to see Eclipse I was excited for that it was really good. That night we took Teagen swimming for the first time. He wasn't sure of it as first. We has a little floaty that he didn't like sitting in for a couple minutes, after he realized he was safe in it and not going deeper in the water he was good. We were in the kid pool so it was only one and a half feet deep. He liked walking around in it, he would go to one end and back. There was a little girl a couple months older than him walking around also that he liked to watch.

Teagen just got his 3rd hair cut. I cut it a little shorter than I wanted but he sweats a lot so it will be nice for him this summer.

The 3rd was Rob's brothers birthday so he went to lunch with him and I went shopping for a bit then walked over to my dads house. We had dinner there then Rissa had to go to the mall we drove all the way out to southtown and it was closed. So we went to get yogurt and then headed back. We went over to the Holladay fireworks. Those ones are good because you sit right under them and it is a long show. We had a lot of fun at the park with the family. Teagen did really good, we didn't know how he would react to the fireworks so we were ready to leave any time, but he just watched them the whole time. Sunday we just took it easy. Monday I went running, sad that Rob wouldn't go with me but what can you do. Then my uncle DJ stopped by with his fam cuz they were in the area. Then we drove up to the outlets. I got some sweet deals I was happy about then we went over to Red Rock for dinner, that was really yummy. Then we went home got a movie and just relaxed with each other.

Family in Town

My grandma and Debbie flew in town last Wednesday. I got to go pick them up from the airport then we went to dinner at Famous Dave's Rob has been wanting it for a while now. It was fun just us 5.
Thursday we went to my cousin Dax's high school graduation at SLCC followed my lunch at Hometown buffet where we ate a lot of food, Thanks Jeff.

Thursday night we went Friday I meet up with grandma and Debbie at aunt Mary's place, she wanted to see Teagen. DJ dropped them off so I was there ride for the rest of the day so we went to Robintinos of course. Then we went to Macys and I got a lot of cute clothes for Teagen with my great coupon and I had another one so grandma got her shoes for a way good deal. We went and picked up Rob from work and headed out to Jordan Landing for some dinner at Chili's where my other cousin works. I was so excited for dessert at the crape store across the street but they closed. I was so sad. There was a weird little concert in the middle by the theaters so we walked around for a bit then we all left for home. We dropped off Debbie and grandma at Dj's then rob helped him with his breaks which took forever. But is was fun me and Debbie got to go get some parts and fool around. I really miss hanging with her. Saturday Rob and I went to his parents for a minute and then went to Shopko to get some swim diapers, which I am going to take back cuz I am going to get cloth ones. We ate at Training Table while we waited for mom to come down and pick me up. We had a shower to go to for Brian's sons fiance out by Rissa. After the shower we headed back up to Layton to meet Dj's family, Debbie and grandma at Boondocks. We went bowling first and then were going to go play miniature golf but it was too late Dj's fam had to leave taking grandma and Debbie with them so we had to say our goodbyes there. We cried like alway and they left. We stayed with mom, Brian and Braedy to play some games. It was a lot of fun until I realized I had lost our camera, it fell out of the bag. We looked everywhere and asked if someone had turned it in but no one had. I started balling. We left but we had to get the car seat out of mom's car so Rob went back in to get keys and mom happened to look on the counter by the prize counter and saw it. Someone had just turned it in 5 minutes ago. Rob identified it and took it out to me. I was so so happy you have no idea. I wanted the pictures I had been taking all weekend more than the camera. So a big thanks to my mom.

Sunday was so busy. We got up and went to the Pride parade where we met up with some friends, but by the time we had to leave we got to see the very beginning. Then we had to go to Rob's parents ward they were blessing Serene ( a girl they just adopted) then had family stuff at there house after. We left and went back down town were we walked around the booths and saw some friends I haven't seen in a while. It was fun. We went home and just relaxed the rest of the day with our little family.

Memorial Day Weekend

We went up to Rob's parents cabin for the weekend. We got up early Saturday morning picked up his mom and drove down by Ephraim. We stopped at a garage sale on the way and I found a scrapbook set of drawers, clothes, and lots of baby proofing stuff all for 20 bucks. Then we went to breakfast and headed out to the Scandinavian festival. They had a parade then lots of booths and fun things to look at. We got our faces painted everyone but Rob's dad, I had to force Rob to do it but he caved. Teagen did so good he just sat there and let her paint his face, he didn't even make a sound.

We ate really good turkey and they had real chips. Chips are little fried potatoes. When you hear fish and chips that is what they are supposed to be. They were so good. Then we walked around the booths, Rob got me a scentsy plug-in and some summer scents. Teagen feel asleep for a while in the backpack then we just carried him, he has never sleep that long in our arms.

We tried a fried twinkie, it was okay I don't think I will eat one again. When we were done walking around we went back to the cabin and just hung out there for the rest of the day. Teagen was off his schedule so that night he didn't sleep very good. Sunday we just were going to leave but we ended up staying the rest of the day. Me and Rob went on a long walk later that day with Teagen, Its so nice up there not a lot of people and quiet.

That night was better we all slept good.

Monday we packed up and got ready to go home. We got In and Out on the way home, I love that place then we just hung out at home and enjoyed the rest of the day together.

The walk for critter

So my cousin's little boy was diagnosed with Leukemia a few months ago. It was so hard to read about what was happening to this one year old boy when Teagen is only a couple months younger than him. I really wanted to do something to help. Then I thought about doing a 5k race. Well there is a lot to think about a 5k but not all that is involved. After doing research for 2 weeks I realized there was too much money involved in just setting one up and I didn't want to spend a lot of money that could go to the family. So I came to the conclusion of just doing a walk and a silent auction. I just got the blog done and am way excited this is coming together. What Im excited for

I love the spring time for one my birthday is in it and two you start getting all excited for things to come the rest of the year. I had some birthday money to spend one things I love my mom gave me money so I could go to the scrapbook expo and spend it all there and I did. I got this whole table of stuff. I'm super ready to get working on my families book now.

My dad gave me a gift card to REI and my grandpa gave me some money so this is what I got with all of that and my dividend and 20 percent off coupon. I got a ton of stuff: drink powders, new jelly bean flavors, blocks (all to run good on the salt lake half marathon Saturday) a hat that blocks sun rays and covers ears and neck for Teagen. He seams to like it. My big purchase was my Kelty kid backpack carrier. I'm so excited to get up hiking in the mountains with it. I also got a red nalgene bottle for me, a blue sippy cup for Teagen and Rob picked a blue one. So if anyone wants to go hiking this summer we will be going a lot.

I love the snow but I want it to melt or just get warmer in the mountain so we can go climbing I am going to get back in shape for that I miss it so much, not being able to do it last summer was really hard.
I'm excited for all the festivals this summer like: The arts, hot air balloon, Swiss days, German up at snowbird, the Saturday morning farmers market, walks in the park with our puppies, and anything outside with my family.
I really want to make it to the beach this year I didn't get to go last year and that was hard too. There are so many good movies coming out this summer as well such as Eclipse we are going to the midnight showing for that one, I have never been to a midnight showing so this should be fun.
We get to start swimming with Teagen this year, he LOVES the water he could stay in his bath all day I swear. So that will be lots of fun. And we are going to bear lake for Robs family reunion they do every year. So lots of stuff planned for the summer I cant wait.

Easter weekend

This last weekend was so much fun. Friday was my birthday and I got woken up by rob giving me my first gift (a sweatshirt I have been wanting) Then he went to work for a couple hours. When he came home we went to Teagen's appointment with the chiropractor then off to his doctors appointment. He is doing really well with his developmental skills and he is in the 59th percentile for his height and 5th percentile in weight, the doctor was a little worried about his weight he only has gained not even a pound in 2 months. I have been feeding him 2 meals a day with his normal feedings. Hopefully he will gain a little more for next time. Then we were off to riverton to get some more cloth diapers for Teagen, I was excited to use them I really like these ones now we have a lot so he should be good till he needs pull ups. That night rob took me to dinner with my friends I didn't know where we were going until we got there. We went to Tepanyaki and it was so good if you haven't been there it is really fun they cook the food in front of you and you can get sushi. Thanks rob for planning a great day, I love all you do for me. And thanks for all my friends that came and tried to come.

Saturday rob took Braedy to his paintball game and he loved it he got shot a couple times and actually shot someone out. When he got home we went to walmart to get some easter things. That night while the boys were at priesthood mom and Rissa come over, mom got us a ice cream cake like always the icing was so purple. We got Bready with it he didn't like it that much but it was funny. We died eggs and when rob got home we finished them together, Teagen didn't get it but we had fun as a family. Rissa fed Teagen peas and got them all over him, I should have put a bib on him. Mom also gave Teagen his first little easter basket.

Sunday we got up and got ready for easter brunch at little america. We just went with mom's family and us but it was fun I love going I look forward to it every year. Then we had dinner for eater and me and Rissa's bithday. It was yummy and then we got to open presents. I got money to Rei and money and some gift cards and cooking things. Teagen loves Parker he always makes Teagen laugh when he makes all his faces at him. Its fun to watch them. It was a good weekend and I am thankful I have a family to share it with.

6 Months Where does the time go?

Our Teagen is 6 months old now, I cant believe it. He has grown up so fast. The last 3 months have been a lot of fun with him learning new things and interacting with us. We have his checkup with the doctor next month so I can find out what his growth has been. He loves to eat now, we give him cereal in the morning and a vegetable for dinner so far he hasn't not liked anything. He has tried peas, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, green beans and carrots. All of it has been fresh, we cook it and mash it up in our nifty food grinder (they are the best, if you don't have one you should) and then freeze it for the week. He is sitting up on his own for about 60 seconds then he will fall over. He can roll over on his own but he doesn't like to. He loves being held. He is getting his second tooth, I wish it would just cut through already this one is taking longer and its bothering him sometimes. Here are his 6 month photos I took the other day.

Jelly Bean Fiends

So our dogs are addicted to jelly beans, they know where they are and whenever Rob gets them out he has there undivided attention its so funny.

5 Months

Teagen is now 5 months old as of yesterday. He is such a bundle of joy and we are so lucky to have him in our family. These last 5 months have been so busy and have gone by so fast, he is so big and such a good baby.

Milestones:

-Rolled over by himself once a couple weeks ago

-Scoots around on his back and tummy

-Only likes tummy time for about 10 to 15 min at a time

-Eating cereal every night and gets it all over his face and hands but he loves helping put the spoon in his mouth

-Wakes up only once a night now and goes right back to sleep (so nice)

He got his first burn the other night when we were out to dinner, he touched a really hot plate and has blisters on three of his little fingers. We felt so bad but they are healing nicely I don't think that they are going to pop, so I am really happy about that.

He wasn't sure about cereal the first couple times.

Then we added apple juice instead of breast milk and he likes it more.

Teagen's hair was getting a mullet so I gave him his first hair cut last week. Now it is about 1 inch now and a lot cuter. There was a lot we cut off we were surprised.

PF Changs 1/2 Marathon

This last weekend I was able to go to arizona and see my family but also run the 1/2 marathon. I thought it was going to be this weekend but my mom informed me a week before we had to leave that it was really a week before i thought it would be I had not even trained that much but I ran that night a good distance and so we registered for it that night. Rob was not able to come with us, he had to work. So we left last wednesday night and stayed in Page to get some sleep then got into scottsdale thursday morning. We just hung around at grandmas house then went out to eat at a mexican place that we seem to go to every time we are in town. Friday we went shopping (big surprise) and that night we went to dinner with uncle Brent and aunt Kathy at Macaroni Grill. Saturday we went to register and pick up all our stuff for the race. This 1/2 marathon is the biggest in the US. There were so many people there. There were tons of booths to go to and find out the latest things for running I got a lot of free stuff and I got these really cool earphones that attach to your Ipod earphones and they didn't fall out once. Saturday night we went to the casino for the crab buffet. Its all you can eat and it was so so good. Sunday morning I got up to feed Teagen at 6 and then started getting ready to run. We got to the start at 7:45, the race didn't start till 8:30. They had 25+ Coralls which were sections you were in depending on your goal time I was in 19 so I didn't get to the start line for 45 minutes. I did okay my goal time was 2:45 and I finished in 2:55. I would have done a little better but for some reason I thought it was only 12.1 miles so I started pushing it at 10 and a half and got so sore and the last mile was not that good for me if I just paced it a little longer I would have done better but I finished and felt good. I wish my family was there to root me on, maybe next time. We got back to grandmas and just took it easy the rest of the day. Grandma trimmed my hair and we had my grandmas Macaroni and cheese it is so good. Monday we packed and left for home the drive took so long because it was snowing pretty bad in some spots so we got in around one. It was nice to be home I really missed Rob it made a difference having Teagen with me it made me miss Rob more then before. So my next goal is to do the Salt lake Marathon this spring I am going to start training this week.

So the PF Changs marathon in phoenix is this month.

My Goal: To run the half marathon

My Time Goal: 3 Hours

Time I have to train: 3 1/2 weeks

I ran 4 miles last week and I am going to try to run 6 tomorrow, hope all goes well. Im excited to use my new running clothes I got for christmas.

We had a really good Christmas this year. We had a couple family parties that were fun its nice to see everyone. Christmas eve we went to my dads house and had dinner and opened presents with them and played games it was nice to do this Christmas eve because we didn't have the craziness Christmas day. Then we went home and wrapped some presents and my mom came by and gave us our pajamas. This year was funny I got a whole onsie with thing one and thing two heads on the feet, Rissa got the Grinch, and the boys got Simpson pants and shirts. They are actually warm and comfy. We got to sleep pretty good then had to wake up and get ready so we could get over to grandpa Groscosts house for breakfast. We opened presents there and ate yummy food then headed over to my house where Rissa and mom came over so we could do presents with them. I did calenders for my families this year and they weren't done yet because they were taking up a lot more time then i thought they would. . After my house we meet my moms family at the movies were we saw Sherlock Holmes, really good movie. After the movie we went over to Rob's family and did presents there I was almost done with there calender so I stayed in the car and finished it. After all said and done we went home and just spent time together. It was so nice having a new member to our family. Teagen got so many gifts some he cant even play with yet but it was really fun with him.

New years eve we had some friends over. We played games, ate some food and watched some tv till midnight. Teagen slept most of the night so we were happy we didn't have to watch him and could just spend some time with our friends. Im glad we actually stayed up this year. Maybe one year I will get my wish and we can make it to New York to see the real thing. Happy New Year everyone.

Teagen's Blessing Weekend

This weekend was so busy. My family from arizona came in friday morning early. I got Teagen ready for the day and my mom came and picked us up and we went over to visit our aunt Mary. She lives in a retirement home and they were doing a halloween party, so we stayed and visited for a couple hours.

We left and headed out to my sisters house in Saratoga Springs and got dinner ready for the fam. What my mom didn't know was it was really a surprise 50th birthday party for her. So we got done cooking and we needed to get her out of the house so we could set up the decorations. Every excuse we came up with she got out of then we had Grandma have my mom take her to get a drink at the gas station. My aunt debbie went with her and they stopped at the store. They kept stalling and mom was getting really anxious to get back and they just kept walking around. We hurried and got all the decorations up and the lights off and when she walked in yelled happy birthday. She was really surprised so that mad me happy. We all ate dinner then mom opened her gag gifts. Jeff brought like 15 gifts they were all stuff from the DI that was from her time. All the gifts were really funny.

Saturday I cut Rob's hair in a mohawk and then we got Teagen in his little giraffe costume and we dressed up. Rob went as a dead preppy boy and I went as a Vampire. Then we just cleaned our house to get really for sunday. We went trick or treating at Jeff and Wenda's house and ate this really good chilly that she made in a pumpkin. We went home and that night was the first time Teagen slept 6 hours. Yay!!!

Sunday we got up and started getting ready. We had been planning this day for a while and last weekend we found out that it was stake conference this weekend so we had to have the blessing at the clubhouse where we were doing food. So we told everyone to go there and that morning we found out we had to have the blessing at our house because it cant be in a public building. So we told everyone it is now at out house. We did so much running around that morning my mom and Rissa came over early to help us. People started arriving and then the bishop came over, after that we were still waiting for people dad was told that it was at 1 so we had to wait for a little bit longer. We had so many people in our house I didn't even know that many could fit in there. My dad gave us the opening prayer, then we sang I am a child of God, then Rob gave a very beautiful blessing. He was so nervous the whole last month but he did such a good job. I was very proud of him. Then my grandpa Groscost gave the closing prayer and we all went over and ate really good food that everyone brought. Mom, Rissa and Leisa helped so much, thanks for all your help. I just was Rob to know that I'm so thankful to have this brand new baby boy and a husband that is a worthy holder of the priesthood that could bless him.

After we got everything cleaned up my mom's side of the family went to wheeler farm to do family pictures, I wanted to get them done because we are not all together that often and we needed them. This weekend was so crazy but I love when my family is here I miss them so much and and so thankful that we can be together sometimes.

Monday I got up like any normal day and started cleaning the house, and so excited we were going to go to the state fair that night. Around 11 I started getting light cramps, thinking it was nothing I just kept doing things. At noon I asked the midwife and she said to just keep doing my daily activities and let her know if they get worse. Rob got off early and went to the store for some food and got lunch at cafe rio and came home. The contractions were every 4 to 6 min. When rob got home and we called the midwife and told her they were getting worse, she said she would come over and check me in a couple hours. Melissa (the midwife) came over around 8 and checked me I was at a 1 but I was fully effaced. She was going to leave but decided to stay and said that i might take all night. My dad came over at 9 to give me a blessing with Rob.
My water broke at 9:50 and then my contractions came a lot harder and faster about every 2 minutes, I ended up on the floor that was the most comfortable place for me to be. My mom over around 10:00. At 10:45 Rob got Melissa from the other room and she checked me again and I was at a 10 and I felt like I needed to push so I started pushing for about 15 minutes before I wanted to get into the water. Heather the midwifes apprentice came sometime around then and did everything after that. We didn't have time to fill the tub they gave us so they filled up our bathroom tub. I was pushing in the water till midnight but it didn't seem that long. I would push for 20 seconds then I would totally relax almost sleep, when he crowned they kept saying he has so much hair and I could reach down and feel him but I didn't really want to I just wanted to get him out.
He came out at 12:06 and they laid him on my chest and it was the most overwhelming feeling I couldn't believe he was my baby. He only made some noises when he came he didn't really cry then he was just looking around. He stayed laying on me for 15 minutes until the umbilical cord was done pulsing then rob cut it and they got him wrapped up and rob held him while I got out of the tub and warm. I got so cold after I was shaking really bad. I just wanted to get into the shower but Melissa wanted me to get in bed and eat something and breast feed him before. Rob was able to weigh him and get his length and footprints. After everything mom and the midwife left we were left by ourselves with this baby, we were kind of nervous but it turned out ok he slept most the night. My grandma changed her flight to the next day she was supposed to come in the next Monday but I was so happy she was able to change it to the next morning. My mom picked her up from the airport and they came over. She stayed with us for a week and a half, it was so nice to have her there to help and for me to spend that time with her. My mom was such a big help and everyone asked if we needed anything. We are so blessed to have the family we have and now to have this brand new baby in our lives. Thanks to everyone that helped us.

I was finally able to get rob out and get some maternity pictures done yesterday. We had some time after rob was done working so we went to Wheeler Farm and took them. I think they turned out really good. I will post them soon.
We have almost everything ready for this little guy to come home. We just need a few little things. I finished the room this weekend I just need to vacuum and set up the pool. We just need him to stay a couple more days till my grandma comes in Monday the 21st.

Rob's 26th Birthday

For Rob's birthday I wanted to do something special for him so the day of my shower the boys took my dad golfing for his late fathers day gift, everyone was together so I took him to dinner at Tucanos Brazilian Grill that night. His parents, my moms and dads family all came. It was a lot of fun and the food was pretty good too. They made rob and my dad get up and dance for the birthday song and they got a a free ice cream that I put candles on and we all sang to him. We had a good time I was really happy the whole family got to be with us.

Tuesday was his real birthday and he thought he wasn't getting anything else but i had been saving for almost the last year and I got him a Wii. He was so excited after work we went to best buy and got a game for it and another remote. His parents got him a game and a gift card too so we got another game. He was really happy to play it. Its a lot of fun to play together and spend that time with each other before the baby is born. Happy birthday Rob I hope it was a good day.

Showers, showers and more showers

I was given 3 showers by family and friends. My first one was given to me by my friend Jayne, it was a lot of fun. We ate yummy sandwiches and had really good cookies and apples with this toffee cream dip. Then we played the diaper candy bar game. Then we opened presents, I got some really cute blankets and things. It was a really nice shower and I am so glad that Jayne was able to put it on for me. Thanks Jayne.

36 Weeks

The next shower was the following tuesday with Rob's family. This one was at his aunt Elaine's house. We ate food and played games and his other aunt made a really cute paper book that had poems and stuff in it. Then we opened presents and i got a lot of things we needed. His mom got us our rocking chair, which we set up that night.

My last one was given by my sister at my grandpas house. It was so nice she went to so much to make it look really nice. She made little diaper cakes to put on all the tables that had blue and brown table cloths. This one was my side of the family from my dad's, mom's and Leisa's families. It was a really good turn out. We ate, played games and opened presents. We got so much stuff from this one we only needed a few more things to be ready. Thank you so much to Rissa for going through all the trouble I love ya.

The Zoo!

I was able to go to the zoo this last week with my mom, brother and sister. It was a lot of fun. We have not been there for a long time. It was nice to get out of the house but walking that long and up hills you don't realize how many hills are at the zoo until you are 8 and a half month pregnant. We had a good time though it was nice being able to spend the time with just us.

So i am 37 weeks this week. These last 2 months have been busy. I got to go to Arizona and spend a weeks there with my grandma and 2 aunts. It was a little warm but we got to go shopping for baby stuff and just hang out. I was able to eat at Eat-A-Burger twice. They have the best burgers ever, I cant wait until there is one closer to salt lake. We went to every store there is baby clothes, toys, or material. I'm so glad my hubby was ok with me leaving him for 7 days, I missed him but I was really happy to spend that time with my family. I really miss them living by me.
I have been stressing about a changing table or dresser because we didn't have one yet, then my grandpa had one of his tenants leave from one of his shops and they left a couple little dressers behind. We took 2 of them and I sanded them down and we had paint left over so we just painted them to match the wall.

They were so gross as you can see they had this wax on them that took forever to get off but the end product turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

I have just been cleaning up my house and getting it ready for baby and guests. I cleaned, painted and put towels up in our guest bathroom. We kept our cats litter box in that bathroom so it had litter and hair on the floor no matter how many times a week I cleaned it but now she is gone it will stay nice. Before it was just bear walls with no color and now it looks like a nice bathroom.
We got out tub and supplies this week we just need to figure out where we are going to put it now. It is just a kiddie pool that we blow up and fill with water. It is coming so fast we cant believe it. I have been a little busy to get everything ready and hope to see this little guy soon but not too soon.

8 Months

I am now 8 months today. I feel good my stomach is getting in the way of things a lot now. It is coming so close we are excited and nervous at the same time. This month is going to go so fast we have our last trip of the year to bear lake and then I have showers every weekend after that. I am so blessed to be able to have this little guy we are so happy that he will be part of our family. This picture was taken at 7 1/2 months, so i am a little bigger now. My midwife said everything is moving along great. He moves almost all day every day I think he will be a very active kid.

6 Months

I am now six months along now. I am feeling pretty good these days. The baby's room is painted and we have the crib set up now. We are so happy with the way it turned out I just have a couple more things set up then I will show pictures. Here is a picture of my tummy some of you have been asking for.

We found out its a baby boy. We found out when i was 18 weeks. I am now 21 weeks and feeling so much better. I'm not sick anymore and not so tired. We haven't found a name yet so for now we call him baby Chuck. Now I have to start thinking about the room, we still have a lot of stuff to clean out of it and start painting. I think I have a good idea of what I want the room to look like I just have to get it there. My mom is getting my crib and Robs parents are getting the changing table. Photos coming soon.

I just wanted to tell everyone that we are expecting a little baby in September. We are so excited and nervous and so many other things but mostly excited. We get to find out what the baby is next week. We are hoping it is a girl, Rob thinks he knows its a girl, so we will find out.

Parker's Newest Movie

For those of you who don't know my little brother is a talented actor. His latest film is called Scout Camp. This is about a group of boys that go to scout camp and what they go through. It is really funny. I got to see this at the LDS film festival a couple weeks ago and everyone loved it. Our Hawaii Trip - Sorry its long

We went to Hawaii a couple weeks ago and it was so amazing. We left on the 13th and got in around 3:30. MY aunt Debbie and grandma were already there so they picked us up from the airport then we went to out hotel to unload our bags and headed out on the town. We went over to the world market were we shopped and ate dinner. We headed back to the hotel to go to bed. The next morning we had to get up early so we could get ready to go to the temple. Rob and I were going to get sealed today. We got ready and headed to the temple we had to drive to the other side of the island and we went a different way so we were like an hour late. This temple isn't busy so it was ok. The sealing was so special. I am so thankful that we were able to do that in Hawaii with all the people that I love. It meant so much to me to see my family there. We were sad that Robs dad and my aunt Jaime were not able to be there with us. After the sealing we took picture on the temple ground. I got a really pretty dress I found one for such a good deal that I decided to get it. The pictures turned out really good for it raining a little when we got out but it cleared up when just me and Rob took them.

After we were done with pictures we changed and went to lunch in this little restaurant that was in 51st dates. The food there was so good and our server was was really funny.

After we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. This place is so fun if you haven't been and you are going to Hawaii you should go. They have shows of all the different dancing and you go around to different parts where you learn about Tahiti, New Zealand, Hawaii, Tonga, and a couple other country's. At some of them they had tattoos of what there tribes did. We just keep getting more and more.

We also ate Poi and learned how to throw spears and how to make fish things out of leafs.

We went to go get dinner and came back for the show that night. The show was so good. They did dancing and rituals and really neat stuff with fire. It was really fun.

Saturday We packed up, checked out and headed to our ship. We waited in the long line and were finally on the ship. After we unpacked we had to go to the safety drill. We were just laughing the whole time they had to tell us to be quiet. It was a lot of fun.

All day we just hanged out unpacked and went to dinner. The ship left around 8 and we were off.
Sunday we were in Maui. That morning I went running and Rob took pictures. It is so peaceful to run in the morning on a ship when the sun is coming up. When we docked we got off and rented our van and headed to the beach. We went snorkeling in this cove the waves were not that good but we saw some cool fish. We rinsed off and changed and headed to our luau. The food was ok but the show was good. We got these drinks in a coconut that was shaped like a monkey. It was right on the ocean and we got to watch the sunset.

Monday we went on a bike ride down the volcano. This road is the only road in the world that goes from sea level and up to 10000ft. They took us to about 7500ft.

We went down at our own pace it took about 2 and a half hours. There were a couple hard spots but it was fun. We stopped for some lunch on the way. But we made it. Then we headed to a beach to get some sand and watch wind surfers and kite boarders. Rissa wanted to learn how to so bad it looked like a lot of fun. Then we headed back to the ship.
Tuesday we were in Hilo on the big island. We went and saw the volcano national park we saw the crater and then went to the lava tubes. They are these tunnels that the lava made and now we can walk through them.

There was this other part were you can choose to go down this other tunnel that has an end but it has no light. It was creepy but fun just Rob, Rissa, Debbie and myself went. It had been raining off and on all day so it was kind of cold for Hawaii. We left after that and went to this little place that does blown glass. They weren't doing any but we got to look at there showroom. I got chopstick holders mine is pink and Robs is green. We like them.
Down the road to the macadamia nut factory a tree had fallen down blocking the road and hitting a power line, we had to frive around the trunk. When we got to the factory they were sending workers home and the power was out so we couldnt see how they crush the nuts but we got to go to the shop and buy stuff and sample some things.

Then we went to this rainforest zoo that I found that was free. This was so cool there wasn't anyone there and they had some different animals. The tiger was so pretty he kept walking around watching us.

We headed back to the ship and got ready for dinner. That night everyone went to the Italian restaurant but Rob and I went for sushi. It was so good and no one was there yet so it was nice and quiet. It was all you can eat so we keep ordering roll after roll. We only didnt like one roll. We were so full at the end but we got desert Rob got a fruit plate and I get this ice cream dish, it was 2 little balls of ice cream in this sweet dough with chocolate shavings it was different but good. Our sushi chef was really funny too. We had a good night with just us.

That night we sailed past the lava hitting the ocean we got some pictures but you could mostly see red and smoke but it was really neat to see that.
The next day we were in Kona the other side of the big Island. We got the car and headed to this special green sand beach. We had to drive 40 min on the highway then 3 miles down a really bumpy dirt road that took another 30 min. Then we hit the part where we had to stop and start walking because we didnt have a jeep. We walked another 3 miles. It was long and muggy but it was cloudy so that was good. When we finally got there we stayed for a bit and started back up. We got green sand and black sand on the same beach.

They say that the whole beach will be all black sand. We were so tired when we finally got to the car. On the way back to the ship we stopped at a coffee plantation were we got to see the trees they grow on. We had to hurry to get on the tender in time so we went straight to the dock. We saw the Kona temple on the way this was such a small temple but it was pretty. We dropped the car off and got in line. It was taking forever and there was a little bay that people were swimming laps in so Rissa and I went swimming for a bit. The water felt so soft and cool. We went out a bit and could see the bottom that was about 15 ft. We saw the line going faster so we hurried and got out. We made it back on the ship.

Thursday we were in Kauai we did our only excursion through the ship. We went kayaking up a river. Our tour guide was so funny he just liked to have fun. We started up and he told us about some history about tribes way back when. We kept splashing each other along the way. When we got to our destiny we got out and hiked up a path that was so full and green. Along the way there way a rope swing that we got to go off into this little pool in the river. Only Rissa, another guy, Rob and myself went off. Me and Rissa kept trying flips and stuff. The water was so nice. We kept hiking up the trail then we hit these little water falls. We took some pictures and a couple of us in the group went up to the higher ones. Then we hiked back and took a boat back to where we left. This was our favorite thing we did. The guide made it worth it. Oh and we got to swing off the swing that Indiana Jones did in the lost arch. The rest of the day we looked at shops and walked on the beach. We got to pick an clam for a pearl and I got two purple ones. Lucky, I know. The next day we went to this time share thing that we got 100 dollars and looked at some shops then went back to the boat because it left early that day. It was raining when the boat left so me and Rissa went hot tubbing. Rob went to take some pictures. We stayed in the hot tub for like 2 hours is was fun in the rain watching the ship leave the dock. Later that day we were supposed to see the part of the island where they filmed Jurrasic Park with the huge waterfall but it was raining so it was covered in fog so that was sad we didnt get to see.

The next morning we were back Oahu we got off the ship, got the car and checked into the hotel again. And headed to the flea market. We got alot of stuff there but it was raining the whole time. We got wet. But it was warm. Then we got some food and went back to the hotel to chill. That night we went out to eat at that world market they had a really good mexican place in it. Then we shopped and ate this really good yogurt that had tons of fruit on it. it was yummy. Then we went back to the hotel and went to bed. About 12:30 the fire alarm started going off. We were on the 23rd floor. Around 12:45 we decided we needed to take some things we needed if we couldn't get back to our roon down the stairs when we were about to leave they came on and said everything is ok so the elevators were working again. We went outside to get away from the noise. It didnt stop until 2:00. We were not very happy but its funny now. Sunday was our last day. We had to take grandma and Debbie to the airport around noon. Then we went to pearl harbor stayed there for a couple hours.

Then we headed to the pinapple farm. This place was so big it had a huge shop and food in the back. Outside you could tour the property, they had this garden with all the different kinds of pinapple, that was cool there are some weird looking ones.

We still had a couple hours until we needed to be at the airport so we went to dinner at Red Robin. Then we dropped off the car and headed to the airport. The flight was ok we slept almost the whole time. The sunrise was so pretty. We had a really good time but were glad to be home 2 weeks is a long time to be away and we missed our puppys. Im so happy I am sealed to Rob for all eternity.

Mom's B-day Party

So this last weekend I had a party for my Mom's birthday. All my moms side came except the people that live in Arizona. We had dinner, pie and cake. It was really nice to get the family together. My house was a little small but next year the grass will be grown in and we can do it in the backyard. After dinner we played bingo then mom opened presents. I hope you had a good time mom. I want you to know that I appreciate everything you do. I love ya.

UEA Weekend

This last weekend we went to Moab so Brian and I could run the other half marathon. My mom was going to run it with me but she hurt her leg and couldn't run. We drove down there Saturday morning and got in around 3 or 4. We had to go to this hotel and check in to get our bag and bib. Then we went to check in to our camp ground, my mom went and checked in and we stayed outside and walked Twix. We saw these signs saying no dogs allowed on grass areas. Then we find out that no dogs are allowed which they failed to mention when we made the reservation. They would not let us stay and luckily they gave us a full refund. So we looked for other camp grounds and none of them allow dogs so we had to go find a site up the canyon, after driving 20 min up we finally found a spot that was not taken. It was right off the highway but we were closer to where we had to be for the run. So I guess you could say we saved money and time.

We set up our tents then went into town and ate dinner at the Moab Brewery. They had yummy food and really good home made root beer that is on the top of Robs list now. Then we walked around the shops and headed back so we could get some sleep. We had to wake up early so Rob could drop off me and Bryan to the bus at 7:00 AM. We got on the bus and it took a half hour to get up to the start. It was so cold but they had fire pits and drinks and free shots. Not alcohol shots the cliff GU shots (they are not the best but they do the job). They had like 20 port a potties and there was a line the whole time up until the start at 8:30. The run was so nice we ran along the green river the first couple mile and the view was so beautiful. I finished in 2.40.39 I am proud of that because I didn't train as much as I should have. After the race we stayed for a bit to see if we would win anything which we didn't, then headed to the campsite and packed up.
We took the long way home so we could stop in Beaver and pick up our new puppy. He is black and a chihuahua like twix. He is only 9 weeks old and really small. Twix doesn't like him much but he is getting a lot better with him. His name is Oreo.

Oreo is a lot of fun. When he is awake he runs alot, bounces, tries to chase Twix and plays with the cat too. He is funny with the cat he tries to give her kisses and will tease her. He will always cuddle.

Dinner for the boys

We went to Benihana for dinner for Rob, Brian and Randy's birthdays. Most of the boys in my life all have birthdays in September: Rob 1st, my dad 3rd, Randy 11Th and Brian is later in the month I forgot what day sorry. Dinner was fun we had to wait a bit but the food was good. Our cook was ok I like going to Tepanyaki better, they put on a better performance. They sang and gave them ice cream with a candle in it. After we went to my house for some yummy ice cream cake that was way better. Hope you guys had a good night.

My photography blog

So all of you who don't know, I am trying to start a photography business. Its a lot of hard work but so far I have done a couple weddings and some other projects. I am super excited to do this and I hope that I can get in a couple shows this coming winter. I am still working on my real website but I thought I would make a blog so I can at least post my lasted work. I am up for any advice you can give me. I know this is late but I just wanted to let you all know Rob is now 25. His birthday was last Monday on Labor day. We had a lot of fun we just spent the whole day being lazy with each other. We went to Ikea for a couple hours and picked some stuff out for our house. Then later that night I took him to Squatters. We were going to go to Red Rock but they were closed, sad I know. Rob loves their cream soda. I invited some of his friends as a secret. It was a small group but we had fun so thanks for those who came Rob loved it.
I just want Rob to know that I love you so much and I am so happy that you have been in my life for so long. You are my best friend and I am so happy I get to come home to you in our new home. Here are some photos from dinner. And if anyone wants a really good desert, home brewed root beer and spinach dip squatters is the place to go the chocolate cake is soooo good its small but that is all you need.

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend was really fun. We left for Lava Hot Springs Friday night with my dads fam. We got in late and went to bed. Saturday morning I went for a nice run then we got ready and went to the big Olympic size pool they have. The water was really warm. They had the platforms and i only dared to go off the second one. My little sister went off it with me and she is only 9 (she is such a daredevil). Rob took some really cool shots of Parker doing flips of the platforms too.
After we got a little with the wind we went over to the hot pots. They were so hot I couldn't put my whole body in it. But it felt really nice and the ground had a gravel on the bottom that felt cool. If you don't know what the hot pots are they are an all natural spring that they pump up from the ground it had a lot of minerals that are good for your skin. We all went back to the camp site for some good old fashion Smores. Rob is so funny with his little fire.
Sunday we just relaxed all day and ate. That afternoon we were going to tub down the river and as soon as they got there to rent the tubs the wind picked up a ton. So then we decided to bag the tubs and head to the hot pots again. On our way there we were walking and the wind was so fast it was sandblasting our legs with the dirt. We got there in one piece and it started raining pretty good but we were still able to get in the water luckily there wasn't lightning close. Sometimes it was too hot of water but too cold outside. It was still fun just hanging with the fam. After that we cleaned up and went back to pack and get ready. Only me and Rissa left that night. After packing we all went to eat dinner in the camper and play games. After dinner we celebrated Dad's 50Th, Robs, Randy's and Mckenzey's birthdays. As all this fun family activities were going on it was still raining and all of a sudden we here a big crack and the lights flicker. We went outside and a branch had hit the power pole and was on fire. It went out but every once and a while the branch would hit again and it made a big electric sound. The firemen came but couldn't do anything until the power guys got there about an hour later it hit big this time and a big flash of blue happened then it happened again about 10 minutes later and it was done I guess some box fell off it and there was no more. It was really cool I tried to get a picture of the blue but I didn't make it in time. We all went back to playing our games and then said goodbye and went home. PS Morgan kept making faces with Randy and this one was the best.

10K in Vernal

A couple weeks ago my moms family went up to vernal to visit my step dads family and run a 10K. It was a short weekend but fun. We left Friday just relaxed that night and ate some good camp fire food. Rissa and I left our hubbys home they both had to work :( but we had fun without them. The wind made it pretty cold at night. Sat morning me, my mom and Brian(my step-dad) got up early to get to the race. It was so cold I didn't plan on it being that cold or i would have brought warmer clothes. So we got to the school where you get on a bus and they take you up to the start. The run was so nice. It was level to down hill with 2 hills at the end. I made my best time 58 minutes, I know its not as good as some but it was great for me. I got 2nd in my age group. Now I get to train harder for my 1/2 marathon in October. Sorry no photos because Rob wasn't there.

The last house update :)

So we are getting so close I cant believe it. We have our last walk through on Friday and we close on the 22nd. So here are some photos of the progress.

Week 12: They finished sheetrock and got ready to paint. The exterior is painted.

Week 13: They painted and the rocks on the exterior we put on.
Week 14: Paint was finished and the laminate was put in.

Week 15: We have a garage and part of our cabinets and hardwood.

Week 16: The rest of cabinets are put in and there is carpet. And the fence.

So we are very close. I'm so excited. Now i have to worry about putting stuff in it. We plan on having a house warming party the pool will be closed but the hot tub will be open all year.

Body Worlds

I am so super excited that Body Worlds is comming to utah. I had the chance to experience this in Arizona when I was visiting family but we didn't have that much time. And now no one will stop me. For those of you who do not know what this is here is a little explination...

Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS is the first anatomical exhibition of preserved human bodies, which was made available to the wide public. In the laboratory, visitors can experience firsthand how plastinates are produced. Every step of the Plastination process is explained in detail, from the anatomical preparation to the final specimen. In the exhibition, 150 body parts and organs and 15 whole-body plastinates are presented. Before entering the exhibit hall, visitors can familiarize themselves with the history of anatomy and tune in to the topic of anatomy and plastination.

I'm sorry I have not been the best blogger. I am kinda boring lately. But for all of you who like to see pictures of my house her are some more weeks. We have gone every Sunday from the beginning. We are getting really excited because I love my mom and i like seeing her and Braedy every day but I cant stand having almost all my stuff in storage and sharing a little room with me, rob, the dog and the cat. And I cant wait till I can decorate the place. So here are some pictures of the progress.

200 and counting down

So it is official we are going to Hawaii!! I have been talking about this for the last couple years and we finally found one that we liked and fit our schedule.(We is me, Rob, my mom, my step dad, my grandma, my aunt, and my aunts friend)

We leave in 200 days notice the count down. The only bad thing is finding a flight now that so many went out of business and prices are crazy.

We are flying in early so we can do stuff on the main island like pearl harbor and the Polynesian cultural center then we get on the ship and go to all the other islands.
I am so excited you have no idea, I am really excited that I get to spend more than a week with Debbie and my grandma, but it is sad my aunt Jaime cant go with us. Its hard not seeing them all the time so it is something to look forward to this year. We really need a vacation. :)

Sunday is one of my very best friends birthday. We have been friends for 10 years now. We meet in early morning seminary. The first time we every hung out we called random people from the phone book, it was so funny. After that we hung out all the time. We would always be messing around at school and work pretty much everywhere. We worked at Dans for a while I was in the dairy and Jeni was in the produce we would hardly work and always just hang out in the back room of the produce. Oh those where the days.

We would drive around and try to find funny sounding licence plates. Cherry Pepsi and splash were what we always drank. We would always have little inside jokes. She would always make me laugh.

She is now living in New Zealand with her husband and i totally miss hanging out with her. So Jeni I hope you have the best day I love ya and miss you:)

P.S. I am working on your present it will be there in a couple weeks.

Home sweet home

So Rob and I are building a townhouse. For those of you that dont know the story here it is....
About a year ago we wanted to start looking for houses that are not built yet like in a community. We found this one just driving by ft. union but they were almost all built and alittle out of our price range and the guy there told us about their other communtiy down by state street in sandy so we went and looked at it and it was perfect and it wasn't going to be built for about 6 months. Well they keep pushing the date.
Well Rob got really sick of how his boss way treating him so he started looking for a new job and a kid on his paintball team had a dad that owns his own shop, and he was LDS so that was a bonus. The only thing was it was in bountiful and it didnt make sence to live in sandy when both our jobs were more north. He went back and forth with this decision for about a week. He finally decided to take the job and put his two weeks in. So i was bumbed because we found that house and really liked it. So we started looking north for another community that was like the other one. I was looking all day at work and nothing seemed to fit, and 15 min before I had to leave work I found this house on ksl and printed out the specs. I showed rob when he picked me up and we decided to go look at least.
When we got there it seemed cute and alot of it is not built yet. We went in and found out all the specs and it seemed really good. This is just like the other one we wanted in sandy. So we went home and thought about it, then that saturday we took my mom and brian to go see (she liked it because i would be closer to her) so we put a deposit in and had a week to make a final decision. The next saturday we made it offical. These townhomes are better then the ones in sandy because they are cheaper for one and they came with alot of stuff that we would have upgraded in the other one, and my uncle DJ is able to be our agent so he gets something out of it too.
It will be done around the end of July. We are so excited to have our own house and a backyard so twix can run around. You wouldnt think he needs to run around beacuse he is so small but he runs around the appt. with the cat all the time and he is fast (he can out run me). We have already had our design center meeting and picked out everything.
Rob loves to go visit the site every week and take picture of the progress, its fun. So this is our foundation #112. There will be more photos following the next couple months.

P.S. Rob never took the job he ended up staying because the son who is the manager convinced his dad the owner to retire and he got a raise. But we figure it was for the better, this house is better decision its still only 15 min from work and I am closer to my mom so we can see her more.

So we went down to provo with my mom and bryan to visit my sister Rissa and her husband last weekend. We went to dinner at this place that was way busy but once we got in it was cool they had a pasta salad bar. There was a ton of pasta and sauces I haven't heard of. Then after dinner we went to this place called pudding on the rice it is pretty much any kind of rice pudding you can think of. It was really good you can try all the flavors and they have little bowls that are just the right size, Rob didn't like it but he tried it anyway. The place was decorated really neat i liked the lights and floating tables. So if you like rice pudding you should try it.

Parkers birthday party

Rob and I took my little brother and all his friends out paintballing for his bithday party. It was a lot of fun. My dad and brother in-law came too. I couldn't convince Rissa to come I even said I would bring twix and she still said no. When we got to the feild there were some people there but they left shortly after that so we had the whole feild to ourselves. I didnt get to play much because 2 guns were not working right, but that is ok it was more for parkers friends. Close to the end of the day we were running out of CO2 so some of the guns were out so the 4 that were left had a civil war style. That was way funny they keep going. then they all went fo a free for all until they were out of paint.
Then they just started to throw them at eachother (I think Randy started that one). Overall it was a good day. So if any of you want us to take you and your friends out let me know, its only 15 per person plus paint. Its a blast!

Who is smarter? He is by far he is always watching smart shows like the discovery channel and the history channel. I make fun of him but he is really smart.
Who does the laundry? I do but he sometimes helps me fold it.
Who pays the bills? I do! If I let him he would forget to pay them, he is not the best at keeping track of money.

Who cooks dinner? We both do he does a little more while I do the dishes.

Some Things That Happened Last Year

Rob and I got Married January 4th 2007, It snowed so bad hardly anyone came. That was ok because just our close friends and our family were there and that is all that mattered to me. But the snow was so pretty.

Last march we got a little chihuahua puppy that we named twix(we thought he had the same coloring as a twix bar). Then a week later we got a kitty her name is skittles. They are so funny together they always chase eachother and fight. I am really glad we got them together so they would have someone. They always sleep on there backs, weird animals.

We went to arizona a couple times. This is my grandma at our wedding she looked so pretty. Me and Debbie love pizza j/k we just love being around eachother. I miss my family there so much I get so excited when I get to go. Some people dont get so excited because all we do is hang out at grandmas house or go to eat or go shopping and I LOVE it.

We went to the caribean on a cruise for our honeymoon. It was so much fun. We took alot of picture but i dont have alot on my work computer. They had sushi bar every day it was the best. The water was so beautiful. I totally recommend doing any cruise in the carribean. After the cruise we stayed in florida for one day so we could relax and not rush to the airport. So we went to this big mall and walked around, it was such nice weather in january we were wearing flip-flops(well not in this picture).
